The second paper of Cambridge International Education’s AS Level Mathematics has reportedly been leaked once again, causing concern among students and education authorities.
According to local media reports, dozens of students claimed that the AS Level Mathematics paper (code 9709) scheduled for 2pm was already circulating on social media before the exam began. Students said they were shocked to see the same paper during the examination.
Executive Director of the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Dr Ghulam Ali Malla, confirmed the leak, saying that authorities are awaiting Cambridge’s official response.
He added that Cambridge had also initially acknowledged the incident.
Dr Malla expressed concern over repeated leaks of Cambridge examination papers, saying the institution has so far failed to prevent such breaches.
Earlier, Cambridge had said that AS Level Mathematics paper 9709/12, conducted on April 29, 2026 in Administrative Zones 3 and 4, was unlawfully distributed before the exam. Following a detailed investigation, it was concluded that the integrity of the paper had been compromised and it could not be used for final grading.
Cambridge further announced that affected candidates would be required to retake the exam, with a replacement paper scheduled for June 9, 2026 as part of the June examination series.
