LAHROE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has finalized its strategy and preparations to launch its long-awaited Long March towards federal capital Islamabad for achieving the goal of ‘Haqeeqi Azadi’.

According to details provided by different PTI leaders, PTI Chairman Imran Khan is scheduled to start the Long March from Liberty Chowk after today’s Friday prayers.
In the first phase, participants of the Long March would reach Shahdara and in the second phase, the long march would reach Gujranwala.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan was quoted as saying “there will be a rally every day from 11:00 am to 05:00 pm. We will march during the day and stop at night. Every evening, people from the respective districts will stay together.”
The March is scheduled to reach Gujrat on Sunday where Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi will welcome the marchers. The PTI marchers will stay at Sarai Alamgir between Gujrat and Jhelum.
The March will pass through Sialkot, Jhelum Gujar Khan and Rwat, after which PTI Chairman Imran Khan, on Wednesday, will finalize strategy to make advancement to Islamabad. The convoys of PTI workers from South and North Punjab will join the marchers in Rawat.
In the meantime, convoys from Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will move towards Islamabad, while PTI convoys from Karachi, Sukkur, Rahim Yar Khan and Multan will join the central rally at Shahdara Interchange on Saturday.
The PTI’s Long March is expected to reach the gates of Islamabad by November 4, where they are expected to witness the ‘contained capital’, barricades and road blocks.
Residents of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have been witnessing hundreds of containers placed at different locations across the federal capital, and at Fiazabad Interchage, since the start of current month.
