Gold prices in Pakistan dropped on Thursday after reaching a record high in the previous session. In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs900, settling at Rs298,700.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold fell by Rs772, bringing it down to Rs256,087, according to the rates provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Wednesday, gold prices had surged by Rs5,300 per tola, reaching an all-time high of Rs299,600, as investors turned to the safe-haven asset amid an ongoing tariff war between the United States and China.

Meanwhile, gold prices also declined in the international market on Thursday. According to APGJSA, the global rate stood at $2,859 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $9 decrease during the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices dropped by Rs23, settling at Rs3,327 per tola.
