It has been revealed that the son of the Deputy Governor of Afghanistan’s Badghis province was involved in terrorism in Pakistan, and Afghan authorities have refused to take the body of Badruddin, also known as Yusuf.
According to a report by Dawn News on Monday citing sources, the security forces conducted an operation on the night of January 30 and 31 in the Madi area of Kallachi Tehsil in Dera Ismail Khan, where four terrorists from Fitanat al-Khawarij were killed.
Media sources confirmed that among the killed terrorists was the son of Badghis province’s Deputy Governor, Maulvi Ghulam Muhammad Ahmadi. American-made advanced night-vision equipment, along with M16A4 and M24 sniper rifles, were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
The killed terrorist’s identity has been confirmed as Badruddin, also known as Yusuf. Afghan authorities have refused to take his body. Pakistan has repeatedly asked Afghan officials to accept the body, but the Afghan side continues to deny it.
Sources stated that Badruddin had previously received training at an Afghan Taliban training camp and later became part of Fitanat al-Khawarij. He was directly involved in the new wave of terrorist attacks from Afghanistan into Pakistan.
According to media sources, the leadership of the Afghan Taliban still maintains close ties with terrorist organizations, including Fitanat al-Khawarij, in Afghanistan. There is evidence that the Afghan Taliban provides defensive, technical, and financial support to Fitanat al-Khawarij.
