Actress Hajra Khan Panezai, recently in the spotlight for her book titled “Where the Opium Grows: Surviving Pakistan as a Woman, an Actress, and Knowing Imran Khan,” remains steadfast in asserting that the book contains undeniable truths backed by evidence she is prepared to defend.
In a frank discussion on a private TV channel, she affirmed the authenticity of her book’s contents regarding PTI Chairman Imran Khan, stating that every detail is supported by evidence, and she is ready to defend her claims.
“I’ve documented nothing but the truth in my book, and I have concrete evidence to support every assertion made within its pages. I am fully prepared to defend the authenticity of the content,” she declared.
Reflecting on her initial encounters with Imran Khan, the actress recalled the excitement and nervousness surrounding their first meeting in Karachi. “My curiosity about Imran Khan led to a desire to understand him better. Initially, a friendship developed, and later it evolved into something more significant,” she shared.
Commenting on the PTI Chairman’s social circle, she expressed observations that left her unimpressed. “I found Chairman PTI’s circle of friends less than impressive, and I witnessed behaviors that raised concerns,” Hajra Khan added.
However, a significant turn occurred after she shared a draft of her book with Mr. Khan. “Subsequent to sharing the manuscript, my email was hacked, leading to unforeseen complications,” Ms. Panezai disclosed.
Throughout the conversation, Hajra Khan reiterated her commitment to the truthfulness of her book and her readiness to substantiate and defend all statements made therein.
