KARACHI: The Anti-Corruption Department (ACD) has arrested three accused, including DG KDA, in connection with the Nasla Tower case.
According to details, anti-corruption took action against illegal construction of high-rise buildings on the orders of the Supreme Court in the Nasla Tower case. Three accused including DG KDA Asif Memon have been arrested.
The arrested suspects include KDA Additional Director Sheikh Farid and Officer Atif. A case was registered against the accused in the text of which allegations of taking steps for illegal constructions were made.
The text of the case states that DG KDA Asif Memon had issued illegal orders from the suspended officers for illegal construction. Action will be taken against the accused on the orders of the Supreme Court.

It may be recalled that earlier during the police raid against the government officials responsible for the construction of Nasla Tower, the officers and employees of Sindh Building Control Authority became frightened at the sight of the police.
Yesterday, the police raided the office of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and questioned the officers concerned regarding the case registered against Nasla Tower.
Sources said that after registering a case against the government officials responsible for the construction of Nasla Tower, a heavy contingent of police again reached Sindh Building Control Authority to arrest or track down the culprits.
