ISLAMABAD: The federal government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs2.93 per litre while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.61 per litre, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division. The revised prices will take effect on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
Under the revised rates, petrol will cost Rs395.37 per litre, down from Rs398.30, while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased from Rs396.24 to Rs396.85 per litre.
According to the notification, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) reviewed the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The Petroleum Division said the price adjustments were made in light of developments in the international market and other relevant factors, including fluctuations in Platts prices, premiums and incidental costs.
In the previous review announced on Friday, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs0.66 per litre to Rs398.30, while increasing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs0.52 per litre to Rs396.24.
The latest revision therefore brings a further reduction in petrol prices, while diesel prices have recorded another increase.
