It may be recalled that even before the unveiling of the mini-budget by the government in the National Assembly, the opposition had initiated contacts with the allies of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), with the aim of blocking the approval of the mini-budget.

Yesterday after the government announced the mini-budget, the opposition started approaching the PTI government’s allies, but sources said that the allied parties have not yet assured the opposition of their support.
