LAHORE: A transgender dancer has been gang-raped by men for straight three days in Punjab’s Chunian.
In the footage, it is seen that the dancer was beaten mercilessly. The victim was tied upside down from the ceiling and being beaten with sticks by some men as she pleads with them to stop.
The victim in a complaint filed with the City Police Station claimed that some people had called them to perform at a function. She also alleged that was subjected to gangrape for three days by the suspects instead.
The transgender said that officials of the City Police Station had thrown out the case after registering it initially upon their complaint. A spokesperson of the police said that the Kasur DPO had formed an inquiry committee on the transgender’s request.

In a recent case of sexual violence against transgender persons, a transgender person was allegedly gang-raped by at least five men with the ordeal being filmed in Naseerabad. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Naseerabad Police Station. In this regard, the victim named Qandeel said, “They forcibly entered my house, assaulted and raped me.”
Qandeel further said that the accused even made a video that was later shared on various WhatsApp groups. The victim had also filed an application to the police station. The district police took immediate action and arrested one accused. The senior officials have also formulated a strategy for the arrest of the remaining four accused.
