ISLAMABAD: Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar has criticized the Sindh government that people in the province were buying expensive wheat compared to other provinces.
Taking to Twitter, Hammad Azhar said that the Sindh government had released close to 6,000 megatonnes of wheat per day, falling short of its promise to release 10,000 megatonnes per day.

“It also started its releases late in season compared to other provinces,” the minister said. He further said that due to these two reasons the people of Sindh were purchasing ‘expensive flour’ compared to other parts of the country. He blamed the Sindh government for the difference between prices.

In another tweet, Hammad Azhar said that the flour prices were down from Rs.1036 per 20 kg bag on 22nd October to Rs.979 on 26th November, a drop of 6 percent.
