RAWALPINDI: Four persons allegedly involved in forgery who are now on bail, have accused police of not returning their cash.
According to details, the police officials were checking vehicles at the Murree check post when they stopped a vehicle for checking. The man on the driver seat introduced himself as a Senior Army official.
During the investigation, the card provided by the person turned out to be fake. The three other persons present in the car were also arrested.
The belongings seized by the police from the suspects at the time of arrest were mobile phones, SIM cards, and cash of Rs 25,500 and 48 UAE dirhams.
After being granted bail, the police handed over their mobile phones and other belongings. However, they refused to return Rs 25,500 and 48 UAE dirhams.
One of the accused informed that the police are not returning them all their belongings and have mentioned “Nil” on their applications.
They have appealed to District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi and City Police Officer (CPO) to come forward and help them in getting their valuables back from the police.
