LAHORE: An anti-narcotics court has extended the hearing of the drug case filed against former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah till 28th March.
AC Judge Shakir Hassan conducted the hearing in which the lawyer of the people accused in the case sought more time from the court to properly study the case.
The ANF court adjourned the hearing of the case till March 28 by warning that the indictment would not be delayed on the next hearing.
Sanaullah was granted an interim bail earlier this week by the Lahore High Court till 20th March. LHC Justice Ali Baqar Najafi conducted the hearing in which the judge granted him an interim bail and ordered to submit two surety bonds of Rs 5 lac each before his bail.
The PML-N leader was arrested on 1st July 2019 by the ANF when he was traveling from Faisalabad to Lahore but was released last year in December.
According to an ANF spokesperson, a large number of drugs were recovered from the PML-N leader’s car.
