ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should probe the Foreign funding case against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).
While talking to media reporters the Accountability Court today, Ahsan Iqbal said that why the NAB was only conducting probe against opposition leaders but not the ruling party PTI.
“The cases against us are merely tactics to oppress the opposition,” Iqbal said.
He further said that he was granted bail as he cooperated with the NAB officials.
While critising the incumbent government, Ahsan Iqbal said that the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project was the biggest scam in his political history.
He said that BRT is the biggest scandal in Pakistan’s political history. It is the government’s mission to drag the country towards political instability, he added.
He was summoned by the NAB today in the Narowal Sports City corruption case.
He was granted bail by the Islamabad High Court and ordered him to submit an Rs10 million surety bond for bail earlier this week. He was recently on Wednesday released from Adiala Jail.
