Three members of a family among four suffocate to death in Sukkur building fire

SUKKUR: Four people, including a man and his two sons, suffocated to death and three others sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out at a building in the Gharibabad area of Sukkur on Friday.

According to the rescue sources, the fire broke out in shops on the ground floor of a four-story building. As a result, smoke accumulated at a room on the upper floors of the building, causing the death of four people, including two children, due to suffocation.

Citing the incident police said the fire broke out on the ground floor of the building firstly, due to moke accumulation in upper floors four people, including three members of a family a man and his two sons, were killed.

The causes of fire could not be ascertained yet, however, police started the investigation. The bodies and injured were shifted to a hospital for autopsies and treatment, respectively.
