UMARKOT: A massive fire erupted at a residential building in Sindh’s Umarkot due to an electric short circuit on Sunday.
According to sources, the fire broke out in a three-story building at Solangi Mohalla due to an electric short circuit. However, all residents of the building have been evacuated safely from the building.
After receiving information about the fire brigade personnel rushed at a residential building in Solangi Mohalla and douse the fire after hectic efforts, while the cooling process is underway.
Safety emergency agencies officials said All residents of the building have been removed from the building, adding that the fire erupted due to an electric short circuit in a shop at the ground floor of the building.
It further stated the blaze started from the shop and engulfed the entire building premises. However, locals of the area said explosive material of fireworks was also present in the building, which has added intensity to the raging fire.
