HANGZHOU: India defeated Pakistan in the Asian Games cricket final to claim the gold medal.
After winning the toss, India opted to bat first and set Pakistan a target of 212 runs. Abhishek Sharma top-scored with 61 runs, while Tilak Varma contributed 51. For Pakistan, Arafat Minhas and Ahmed Daniyal took two wickets each.
Pakistan’s fielding proved disappointing as the Green Shirts dropped five catches and missed two run-out opportunities, allowing India to capitalize and post a challenging total.

Pakistan failed to produce the required performance in the run chase and eventually suffered defeat at the hands of India in the final.
