KARACHI: Fresh foreign exchange rates have been released in Pakistan’s currency market, with the US dollar holding near Rs278 in the open market, while the British pound reached Rs378 and the euro climbed to around Rs322.
According to the open market rates released at around 11am on September 28, 2026, the buying and selling rates of major foreign currencies were recorded as follows.
In the open market, the US dollar was bought at Rs277.95 and sold at Rs278.20. The British pound was quoted at a buying rate of Rs373.25 and a selling rate of Rs377.65, while the euro was bought at Rs316.53 and sold at Rs321.68.
The Australian dollar was bought at Rs196.25 and sold at Rs201.35, while the Canadian dollar was bought at Rs196.73 and sold at Rs201.75.
The Chinese yuan was quoted at a buying rate of Rs38.25 and a selling rate of Rs38.97. The Japanese yen was bought at Rs1.7339 and sold at Rs1.8337.
Among Gulf currencies, the Saudi riyal was bought at Rs74 and sold at Rs74.55, while the UAE dirham was bought at Rs75.75 and sold at Rs76.40.
Interbank Market Rates
In the interbank market, the US dollar was quoted at a bank buying rate of Rs277.05 and a selling rate of Rs277.55.
The euro was bought at Rs314.99 and sold at Rs315.56, while the British pound was bought at Rs366.03 and sold at Rs366.69.
The Australian dollar was quoted at a buying rate of Rs194.33 and a selling rate of Rs194.68, while the Canadian dollar was bought at Rs195.84 and sold at Rs196.19.
The Saudi riyal was bought at Rs73.75 and sold at Rs73.89 in the interbank market, while the Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7498 for buying and Rs1.7529 for selling.
Among other currencies, the Singapore dollar was quoted at Rs216.57 for buying and Rs216.96 for selling. The Swiss franc was bought at Rs336.17 and sold at Rs336.78, while the Hong Kong dollar was quoted at Rs35.33 for buying and Rs35.40 for selling.
