LAHORE: The legal troubles of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan have intensified, as his two other sisters, Noreen Niazi and Uzma Khan, have also been detained by the government following the detention of Aleema Khan.
According to official sources, Lahore Deputy Commissioner issued detention orders for both Noreen Niazi and Uzma Khan on the formal recommendation of the police. The two women were detained under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance and subsequently transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail under tight security.
Both sisters will remain in detention for one month, according to the orders.
It may be recalled that authorities had detained Imran Khan’s third sister, Aleema Khan, a day earlier under similar orders and transferred her to Kot Lakhpat Jail.
With the latest action, all three of Imran Khan’s sisters have now been transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail.
