Initial medical reports in the first-year student Eshal Fatima death case have ruled out sexual assault, while investigators suspect possible poisoning or drug intoxication as the cause of death.
According to an initial medical examination report received by police, there is no confirmation that the victim was sexually assaulted. The report, however, suggests the preliminary possibility that her death may have been caused by the consumption of a toxic or intoxicating substance.
Police said Eshal Fatima, 17, had been missing for four days. On Monday, unidentified individuals allegedly left her in a critical and unconscious condition at a private hospital in Jhang before fleeing the scene.

Hospital administration provided immediate first aid, but due to her deteriorating condition, she was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Jhang, where she died during treatment.
Following the incident, CCTV footage surfaced showing the girl being brought in a severely critical condition to the private hospital.
During the investigation, authorities identified four suspects based on evidence, statements, and available CCTV footage. Three suspects, Haseeb, Amesh, and Hassan, are currently in police custody, while raids are underway to arrest the fourth suspect, Khalil.
Officials said samples taken from the victim’s stomach have been sent to the Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory in Lahore for detailed analysis.
