An Indian man has made a bizarre complaint to the police, claiming that his wife turns into a snake at night and tries to bite him.
As per the Indian media, the incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur, where a man approached police officials claiming that his wife turns into a snake at night and terrorises him.
The strange case came to light before officials conducting hearings under the Samadhan Diwas (social media day) program in Sitapur.
During the event, Meraj approached the district magistrate to file a complaint against his wife, Naseemun. In his written statement, he alleged that she was “mentally disturbed” and claimed that she would turn into a snake at night, leaving him terrified and unable to sleep. Following the unusual complaint, authorities instructed the local police to investigate the matter, according to media reports.

“My wife turns into a snake at night. She doesn’t try to kill me, but she keeps biting me,” Meraj said.
He also added that he had approached the police for protection, claiming, “I need them to grant me protection from my wife. She keeps telling me she has managed to trap me.”
The unusual nature of the case quickly drew widespread attention on social media, where many users reacted with disbelief and raised concerns about the man’s mental health.
