BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and British singer Zayn Malik have officially announced their first-ever music collaboration. The digital single, titled “Eyes Closed,” will be released on October 10, 2025.
This is the first time Jisoo and Zayn are working together. The news was shared on their Instagram pages, along with a black-and-white poster and a short preview of the song’s chorus. The track is described as a slow R&B ballad that shows off both singers’ unique voices.
The chorus teaser included the lyrics:
“We should fall in love with our eyes closed, better if we keep it where we don’t know…”
How the Collab Happened:
Rumors of the collab started in July, when Zayn was seen attending BLACKPINK’s ‘DEADLINE’ World Tour concert in New York with his daughter, Khai. After that, fans noticed a series of mysterious posts from Jisoo, like “A duet is near” and “Two voices, one orbit.”
The final confirmation came on October 8, when both artists posted a teaser image showing them dressed in all black with the title “Eyes Closed.”
The internet quickly exploded with excitement. Fans from around the world shared their joy online. One fan wrote, “I want to cry, I’m so happy for our Jisoo!” Another added, “COLLAB OF THE CENTURY OMG!”
Many fans said they were happy to finally hear music that sounds “fresh and emotional,” after what they felt was a long time of disappointing releases.
What to Expect
The song will be released digitally — no official music video has been announced yet.
Jisoo helped write the song, showing her creative involvement.
This is her first release since her EP ‘Amortage’ in February 2025.
It’s also her first official duet with a Western artist.
For Zayn, this adds to his solo journey after One Direction, following the release of his recent album ‘Room Under the Stairs.’
This duet is more than just a song — it’s a major moment in pop music, bringing together K-pop and Western pop in a meaningful way. With millions of fans around the world waiting, “Eyes Closed” is already one of the most talked-about music releases of the year.
