India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav once again refused to shake hands with Pakistan’s captain Salman Agha during the toss ahead of the high-stakes Super Four match of the Asia Cup at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
This incident follows a much-publicized controversy in which the Indian team allegedly asked match referee Andy Pycroft to convey that they would not participate in the customary post-match handshake with the Pakistani side.
For this crucial clash against traditional rivals India, Pakistan has made two changes to its playing XI. Hussain Talat and Faheem Ashraf have been included in the final eleven.
Top-order batsman Hasan Nawaz and spinner Sufyan Muqeem have been dropped from the squad.
The national team is being led by Salman Ali Agha. Other players include:
Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris, Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf, Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf.
It is worth noting that India remained unbeaten in the group stage, while Pakistan won two matches and lost one.
