In a bid to deepen bilateral relations, enhance economic diplomacy, and promote tourism, Uzbekistan Airways is set to increase its regular flights to Pakistan.

Beginning October 28, the airline will double its weekly flights on the Tashkent–Islamabad–Tashkent route from one to two per week.

Currently, Uzbekistan Airways operates two weekly flights between Tashkent and Lahore (Wednesdays and Fridays) and one weekly flight to Islamabad (Saturdays). Due to strong demand and consistent overbooking, the airline is expanding services to better accommodate passengers.

According to the Uzbek Embassy in Islamabad, improving air connectivity is central to strengthening cooperation in trade, logistics, and people-to-people exchanges. The increase in flight frequency will provide greater convenience for travelers while also encouraging business partnerships and fostering closer ties across various sectors.

The Embassy emphasized that these additional flights will enhance cultural and humanitarian relations between the “brotherly nations” of Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Furthermore, Tashkent International Airport’s role as a strategic transit hub offers travelers from Pakistan seamless connections to Europe, North America, and Asia.
