After nearly two years in production, Kingdom—an emotional action drama starring Vijay Deverakonda—has finally hit theatres. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film features Bhagyashri Borse in the lead female role.
For Hindi-speaking audiences, the film has been released under the title Saamrajya.
In a major post-theatrical update, Netflix has officially secured the digital streaming rights to the movie. Unlike many mainstream releases that follow an eight-week waiting period before heading to OTT platforms, Kingdom is expected to break that trend.
Because the Hindi version wasn’t released through major multiplex chains like PVR and Inox, the usual OTT delay doesn’t apply. As a result, the film may begin streaming on Netflix as early as the end of this month—just about four weeks after its theatrical debut.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banners, Kingdom also boasts a stirring soundtrack by music director Anirudh Ravichander.
The story of Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, is an emotional action drama centered on brotherhood, sacrifice, and patriotism, set against a backdrop of espionage and national duty.
