WASHINGTON: United States President Donald Trump will attend the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland from 21st to 22nd January.
The annual World Economic Forum, held in the popular ski resort of Davos, attracts wealthy, high-profile business and political figures, along with academics and other leaders of society.
It will also be Trump’s first trip outside of the US since becoming only the third American president to be impeached, and the first one to carry that mark into a reelection campaign. Last year, he pulled out of Davos in the midst of a budget battle with Congress that saw the US government shut down.
The World Economic Forum is an independent and impartial International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. Its objective is to improve the state of the world. It does not promote any political, commercial or personal interests, nor does it use the names of its participants for promotional purposes.
Transparency and public inclusion are achieved through broad international media participation, televised sessions and webcasts, and through the Forum’s millions of followers social media.
