The city remained under the grip of hot and dry weather on Wednesday, with temperatures exceeding 40°C for the third consecutive day.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature recorded was 40°C, accompanied by a humidity level of 20 percent.
A department official attributed the prevailing conditions to an ongoing heatwave, which is expected to persist through April 24.
While a consistent breeze brought some relief, offering a marginal reduction in the intensity of heat and dryness, the overall weather remained harsh.
Elsewhere in Sindh, temperatures continued to soar. On Sunday, the mercury climbed as high as 44°C in Dadu, Nawabshah, and Mithi.
