Mir Hamza, the 32-year-old left-arm fast bowler, was playing for Ghani Glass against Aishal Associates in the President’s Trophy Grade One Cricket Tournament. The incident occurred on the second day of the match at the HPC Oval Ground, where Hamza injured his elbow while diving to take a catch.
According to a report by Geo News, the coach of Ghani Glass, Test wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal, expressed regret over the injury, calling it an unfortunate situation. He pointed out that there was no grass on the outfield, and players would inevitably get hurt while diving on the dirt.
