SUKKUR: The accountability court has granted bail to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah in the assets case.
The court ordered to release Khursheed Shah as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) failed to file any reference against him even after completion of 90 days of remand.
The court announced the reserved verdict and ordered Khursheed Shah to submit a surety bond of Rs. 5 million.
Earlier today, he was presented before the court after completion of his previous remand. He was taken in the ambulance to present in the court.
In its remark, the court remarked that no reference against Shah was filed so far while 90 days of his judicial remand.
Khursheed Shah was arrested on 18th September by the NAB arrested in assets beyond known source of income case. The NAB of Rawalpindi and Sukkur jointly carried the raid to arrest Shah. He was arrested from his house in Bani Gala.
Shah was facing charges of making assets amounting to Rs500 billion through illegal means.
According to the document, he was accused of transferring an amnesty plot in Sukkur, Rohri, and Karachi, Glamour Bungalow, Junejo Flour Mills, Mukesh Flour Mills including 83 other properties were made under Shah’s frontman, Pehlaj Rai.
