ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rains with snowfall over mountains for parts of Pakistan on Monday evening/night and Tuesday.
Based on the current synoptic situation, an influence of a westerly wave is observed in the upper regions of Pakistan, and it is expected to persist over the next 24 hours. Anticipated weather conditions include rain, wind-thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous areas, particularly in isolated locations across upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly areas on Monday evening/night.
On Tuesday, a similar pattern is expected, with rain, wind-thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous regions at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and northeast Balochistan. Conversely, Islamabad and other parts of the country are expected to experience cold and dry weather.

Furthermore, fog is likely to occur at isolated spots in the plains of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning and night hours. The minimum temperatures in Islamabad are projected to range between 02-04 degrees Celsius on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Over the past 24 hours, cloudy weather prevailed across most parts of the country. Isolated occurrences of rain-thunderstorms and snow over mountains were reported in Sindh, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.
