Amidst a new cold spell in Peshawar, the administration of Primary and Secondary schools has chosen to ease uniform regulations, as per an official notification.
According to the announcement from the Department of Primary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, students are now granted the flexibility to wear any sweater or coat to school.
The notification emphasizes that the chilly weather has had an impact on academic activities in educational institutions. Additionally, it states that the relaxation in uniform regulations will continue until there is an improvement in the weather conditions.
Earlier, the Punjab School Education Department had issued a directive to all private and public schools across the province, urging them to loosen their uniform policies. The department’s notification specifies that, during January and February, all students are allowed to wear any sweater, blazer, coat, jacket, cap, socks, shoes, etc., to stay warm and shield themselves from the cold weather across the province.
