Indian filmmaker Karan Johar has recalled his first interaction with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and said that he was just swept away by the magic of SRK.
In a recent interview, Karan, who has been friends with SRK for 30 years now, opened up about his first interaction with Shah Rukh Khan and revealed preconceived notions about the Jawan actor.
While recalling his first interaction with SRK, Karan shared that his father took him to the sets of ‘Karan Arjun’, because he was offering Shah Rukh ‘Duplicate’, and they were going to discuss dates and money.

According to the filmmaker, he had this impression that movie stars were a certain way because his father was a producer, and he had dealt with many.
Karan went on to say that with Shah Rukh, there was a lot of talk that he was kind of arrogant, but like he knew what he was doing because he comes from drama and theatre. However, in one minute, he was just swept away by the magic of Shah Rukh Khan.
The filmmaker also narrated the incident of his first meeting with SRK and shared that he met Shah Rukh when they were both seated across from each other at filmmaker Aanand Mahendroo’s office for hours, but didn’t exchange a single word.
Karan added that he did not even realize it was Shah Rukh sitting across from him and was told this after the actor had left. Â
