The PTI requested the APEX Court to take suitable remedial measures in liaison with all stakeholders to ensure that free and fair elections in letter and in spirit take place to allow a true democratically elected government to take over power in the province of Punjab as well as in other provinces of Pakistan.

The party is also reported to have challenged appointments of members Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Babar Bharwana and Ikramullah.

It may be recalled that the PTI had already rejected appointment of Mohsin Naqvi at the slot of Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister, with Imran Khan terming him as ‘worst enemy of PTI.”
