RAWALPINDI: A solider of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in a battle with terrorists in Sararogha area of South Waziristan’s Tribal District the other day.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), fire exchange took place between the troops and terrorists, resulting in martyrdom of Havaldar Umer Hayat, who was resident of Lachi area of Kohat.
The ISPR said it said that the sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists in the area.
The ISPR said that Pakistan Army is committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism, adding that such sacrifices of brave soldiers would further strengthen resolve of the force.
Meanwhile, President Dr Arif Alvi expressed his condolence on the martyrdom of Havaldar Umar Hayat. In a statement, the President prayed for the high ranks of the departed soul and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family. The president while reiterating the resolve to completely eradicate the scourge of terrorism, lauded the efforts of security forces in this regard.
