LAKKI MARWAT: At least seven people were injure din an explosion that took place on Darra Tang Road, Lakki Marwat District on Tuesday, targeting a vehicle of the security forces.
Information gathered from local sources including police suggested that a grenade was hurled at the vehicle of the security forces. The injuries were caused by the vehicle turning over. Some of those injured were reported to be in critical condition.
Sources told MM News that the incident was followed by gunfire as well.
Meanwhile, banned outfit TTP has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Just two weeks back, security forces had conducted an operation in Tank and killed at least 4 terrorists, while in September, forces killed at least 2 terrorists during an operation in Sheikh Badin Mountains.

It is pertinent to mention here that the terror-related incidents across the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have registered a significant increase over last few with people from every segment of society raising their voice and demanding authorities to answer their questions about alleged security lapses.
Pakistan as a whole has experienced a spike in militant attacks, killing more than 450 people, mostly security forces, in the first nine months of this year, in which nearly 350 soldiers and personnel of other law enforcement agencies lost lives.
