Roof collapse claims 9 lives in Chilas

CHILAS: At least nine people lost lives when roof of their house collapsed in Boner Das area of Diamer district on Sunday.

According to initial reports received by MM News, the incident took place in the wee hours of Sunday morning when a wooden beam holding the roof broke down, as a result of which the roof collapsed, killing nine people on the spot.

Those lost lives include a house lady and eight children of the same family.

Locals rushed to the spot to look for survivors as rescue teams were reportedly yet to reach the spot till the filing of this report.
