LAHORE: An FIR (first information report) has been registered in senior journalist Ayaz Amir attack case at the Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to details, the case has been registered against six unidentified attackers on the complaint of driver of the Ayaz Amir. Provisions of 147, 149, 506 and 382 have been included in the case.

Some unknown men attacked senior journalist and analyst Ayaz Amir in Lahore.
As per details, Mr. Amir was on his way back home when unknown assailants attacked him, they also snatched his cellphone and wallet.
“As soon as I left office, a car blocked my vehicle,” the senior analyst said, “Then they tortured me.”
They were six men, Mr Amir added.
The journalistic community as a whole condemned the act asking Punjab government to arrest the culprits.
