ISLAMABAD: Aamir Liaquat Hussain has officially announced his decision to leave the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), calling the Opposition’s move against the prime minister “justified.”
“Now that the drama has ended, I want to say that whatever PM Imran Khan did today proved that the actions taken by the Opposition leaders were right,” he wrote on Twitter.
He announced that keeping the situation in view, he has decided to leave the party. He added that the decision regarding who is against the constitution will be taken by the Supreme Court.
“I appeal to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Umar Atta Bandial to restore the Assembly and implement the no-confidence motion. This is a constitutional crisis. You are wise, you will do justice. This is a matter for the country,” he said in another tweet.

He also harshly criticized the ruling of the Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri to reject the no-confidence vote against the prime minister.
“As a Member of the National Assembly, if I appear before the Chief Justice, I will ask to explain if the President of PTI Balochistan as the Deputy Speaker can declare the no-confidence motion unconstitutional, will it be his decision or the PTI,” he added.
He said the president has 48 hours to act on the prime minister’s advice to dissolve the assemblies but he made the order within hours. He asked if Article 6 (Treason) will be implemented against prime minister, president, speaker and deputy speaker of National Assembly.
