Pakistani guitarist Bilal Maqsood has expressed happiness as famous Pakistani singer Alamgir recently praised him.
The Mera Bichraa Yaar singer took to Instagram and shared an emotional message of Alamgir praising him in a ceremony. “Alamgir saying that he’s “passing the baton” to me defines my existence. He’s the one who sowed the seed of pop music in Pakistan”.

Alamgir Haq, usually referred to as just Alamgir, is a renowned singer-songwriter, guitarist, and one of the pioneers of pop music in the country. He is popularly known as Baba-e-Pop which translates to “Founder of Pop” music in Pakistan. His style of singing is inspired by playback singer Ahmed Rushdi and Elvis Presley.
