Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s devastating death has deeply shaken music lovers across India. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who made an appearance at the singer’s funeral also grabbed media attention but for all the wrong reasons.
It all happened on Sunday, when the Zero actor attended Lata Mangeshkar’s funeral in Mumbai. The actress arrived much in advance and patiently waited to pay his last respects to the legendary singer.
Being extremely religious, Shah Rukh Khan offered a dua for Lata Mangeshkar. For a split second he removed his mask and did a facial gesture, which several social media users believed as ‘spitting’.
However, the truth is that after saying a dua, Shah Rukh Khan blew air, which several Muslims follow as a pious practice. Paying his respect for Mangeshkar, SRK placed a wreath and said a prayer, and touched her feet.

The actor was accompanied by his manager Pooja Dadlani. Apart from SRK, Aamir Khan also paid his last respects to Lata Mangeshkar with his daughter Ira Khan.
Sad demise
Legendary singer passed away in Mumbai on Sunday at the age of 92 after suffering a multi-organ failure. The versatile singer, christened the Nightingale of India, had lent her voice to thousands of songs in an illustrious career spanning almost eight decades.
Mangeshkar had been diagnosed with Covid-19 and pneumonia and was admitted in Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. The singer was in the ICU and under the observation of doctors.
Born on September 28, 1929 in Madhya Pradesh, Lata Mangeshkar had music in her genes. Her father Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar was a Marathi musician and a theatre actor.
During her lifetime, Mangeshkar worked with music greats from various generations as she delivered iconic numbers that remain relevant to this day. Known for her versatility, Mangeshkar dabbled in other film industries as well.
