The seventy-seventh death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, is being observed today (Thursday) with the pledge to follow his golden principles of unity, faith, and discipline.
The day dawned with special prayers in mosques for the eternal peace of his soul and the peace and prosperity of the country.
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a pivotal leader of the Muslims of the Subcontinent, uniting them under the umbrella of the All-India Muslim League. He passed away on this day in 1948.
Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television are airing special programs to honor Quaid-e-Azam’s enduring legacy.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have rich tribute to the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s unparalleled leadership and selfless struggle for the creation of Pakistan.
In their separate messages on the death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, they urged Pakistanis to draw inspiration from his vision of justice, equality, tolerance, and democracy.
The President said Quaid-e-Azam created a homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent and also gave them dignity, identity, and self-respect.
The Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said the entire nation salutes Quaid-e-Azam’s political vision and statesmanship, which led to the establishment of an independent homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent despite immense challenges.
