In Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four Balochistan Levies personnel were martyred in a shooting and bomb blast by unknown armed individuals, as reported by national media on Sunday.
The Levies officials have confirmed that they have identified the deceased personnel as Naib Risaldar Noor Ahmad, Sepoy Rashid Zaman, Sepoy Daud Khan, and Sepoy Bilal Ahmad,
Assistant Commissioner of Karezat stated about the incident that a truck was stolen from the Khanuzai area of Pishin on January 13. Dera Ismail Khan police contacted Levies officials in Pishin and informed them that the stolen truck was in Dera Ismail Khan.
The Balochistan Levies Force personnel were traveling to Dera Ismail Khan yesterday in connection with the recovery of the truck when the terrorists attacked them near the Darabin tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan. The terrorists first fired at the Levies personnel’s vehicle and then carried out a bomb blast, resulting in the martyrdom of all Balochistan Levies personnel.
Assistant Commissioner of Karezat mentioned that at the time of the attack, one Levies force member was talking to his family on his mobile phone. This is why Levies officials in Pishin were immediately informed about the blast.
It is worth mentioning that yesterday, security forces carried out an operation in the Mangochar area of Kalat district, Balochistan, and killed 13 terrorists. During the operation, 18 security personnel were martyred.
