A tragic traffic accident occurred today at Danasar, Darazinda area of Dera Ismail Khan when a Mazda vehicle coming from Khanozai, Balochistan to Dera Ismail Khan had a brake failure. As a result of the accident, 11 members of the same family have passed away.
The vehicle was carrying members of the same family. As soon as the accident was reported, Rescue 1122 Dera Ismail Khan team reached the spot and immediately started relief operations.
The accident occurred due to brake failure of the vehicle in which many precious lives were lost. Rescue personnel provided first aid to 03 injured persons and shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital, while 07 dead bodies were also recovered. Local sources shifted 04 more dead bodies to the hospital.
In total, 11 people lost their lives in the accident, including 05 women, one man, and one child, while 3 people were injured. The injured include Darya Khan (27 years), Yousaf (10 years), and Ahmad (25 years).
District Emergency Officer Engineer Fasihullah expressed deep sorrow over this tragic incident, prayed for forgiveness for the deceased, and patience for the bereaved families.
According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson Ihsan Khan, the injured and the deceased were shifted to the hospital as per procedure.
