ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza has appreciated China’s support to Pakistan in the battle against coronavirus (COVID-19).
While talking to Chinese doctors team at the National Institute of Health in Islamabad Mirza expressed his gratitude to the Chinese authorities for their assistance by providing medical gear and expertise during this testing time.
Zafar Mirza further said it is truly incredible that out of all the cases emerged in Pakistan, not a single patient has a travel history to China.
He said this was only successful through collaboration and coordination between the two countries, Mirza added.He said that the Pakistani students who were stranded in the Wuhan, during the climax of the country’s coronavirus outbreak, are now thanking the official of Pakistan for not evacuating them.
The PM’s aide expressed hope that Pakistani health professionals will learn from their Chinese counterparts to stop the surge against coronavirus.
He further lauded China efforts and said the country has written a new chapter in the history of public health by putting around 60 million people under quarantine to safe from the diseases.
He said the arrival of Chinese doctors is also vital as Pakistan is going to initiate the training of healthcare professionals in critical care.
