Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s much-awaited spy thriller Alpha is gearing up for its theatrical release, and fans are already wondering when and where they will be able to stream the film online.
While speculation around the movie’s digital debut has been circulating for months, the makers have already clarified their release strategy.
It was reported that the film might bypass a theatrical release after allegedly securing a Rs 215 crore OTT deal with Netflix. The production house behind Alpha, Yash Raj Films, reacted strongly to these rumours and refuted all such claims. Now, the studio has confirmed that the film will release in theatres on July 10, 2026.
Earlier this year, reports claimed that Yash Raj Films (YRF) was considering skipping theatres and opting for a direct OTT premiere after allegedly receiving a lucrative digital offer.
However, the production house strongly denied the rumours and confirmed that Alpha was always intended for a theatrical release as part of its ambitious Spy Universe.
Reports also suggested that the studio chose to prioritize the big-screen experience over an immediate streaming debut.
The film has already generated strong pre-release interest, with advance bookings showing encouraging momentum ahead of its theatrical debut.
