The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to build a modern international-standard cricket stadium in Jeddah following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation.
The agreement, aimed at promoting cricket and developing sporting infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, was signed by Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and the Chairman of the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation.
Under the MoU, both organisations will work together to develop cricket infrastructure, enhance operational standards, strengthen institutional capacity and promote the growth of the sport through a range of collaborative initiatives.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the Pakistan Cricket Board was proud to contribute to the development of cricket in Saudi Arabia.
He added that the partnership would not only support the growth of cricket but also further strengthen the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In addition to the construction of a state-of-the-art cricket stadium, the agreement focuses on expanding the sport across Saudi Arabia, developing young players and creating new opportunities for emerging cricket talent.
The Chairman of the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation said the partnership extended beyond the construction of a cricket stadium, describing the initiative as an important step towards establishing a strong foundation for the future of cricket in the Kingdom.
