Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda has been in the news regarding his alleged relationship actress Komal, also known as Rani Swarnakar. Photos of the two together at Mumbai airport have fueled speculation about their relationship, while neither Govinda nor Komal has publicly confirmed that they are dating.
The development has also brought Govinda’s marriage to his wife, Sunita Ahuja, back into the spotlight.
Sunita has previously spoken in various interviews about her husband’s alleged infidelity and difficulties in their married life, prompting renewed discussion of her earlier statements following the recent reports involving Komal.
Who is Komal?
Komal is a relatively new name in the Hindi film industry and was not widely known among mainstream moviegoers before being linked to Govinda.
According to reports, she will appear alongside Govinda in his upcoming film Roopa, which is expected to further boost her profile.
Some reports have also linked Komal to another upcoming Govinda film, Diyandari. If the reports prove accurate, the two actors could be seen working together in more than one film.
Komal is reportedly from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. However, little information is publicly available about her personal life and family background. Details about her age and educational qualifications are also unclear.
Asked about photos of Komal with Govinda and their alleged relationship, Sunita Ahuja quoted a Hindi saying, suggesting that when destruction is near, a person’s ability to think clearly is lost. She added that her own understanding had become clouded and questioned what more she could say about the matter.

When Sunita was asked about Govinda being labelled “Cheater No. 1,” she said the actor’s fans and the media should answer that question. She added that whenever she makes a statement, she is trolled on social media, and therefore asked not to be questioned about the subject anymore, saying she had no interest in the matter.
Shortly before Sunita’s remarks, Govinda spoke about his personal life in an interview with ANI, with some portions of the interview becoming a topic of discussion online.
Govinda said he considered himself innocent until the age of 33 or 34, but now felt embarrassed by that innocence. When asked what changed in his life after turning 34, he gave an example, saying that if someone is inside a sweet shop yet remains hungry, it would be unfortunate.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987 and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan.
