Former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa seems to have a knack for being in the headlines for all the wrong reasons as he in the recent weeks gave successive off-the-record interviews to journalists who later conveyed Bajwa claims to their audience. But General (r) Bajwa backed off from some of the claims later.
In the most recent Bajwa’s interaction was with Tv anchor Aftab Iqbal in which General Bajwa told him that he has audio tapes of meetings with Imran Khan where the PTI chairman used to praise him for targeting Nawaz Sharif.
So bajwa himself admitted to Aftab Iqbal, that he himself was recording conversations with Imran Khan. 😹

Iqbal said General Bajwa revealed that he himself had recorded the tapes of his meetings with Khan without any knowledge of his ISI chief Lt. General (retd) General Faiz Hameed.

Aftab Iqbal claimed that he told General Bajwa that he’s confessing serious crimes for which he could be punished but according to the tv anchor, General Bajwa said he didn’t care about anything now.
Earlier, Javed Chaudhry, in a column published in Express News, had written that he questioned Bajwa how his decision of not saving Khan’s government was right. Chaudhry then quotes Bajwa’s response, “Our reading was that they [PTI] were dangerous for Pakistan. If they stayed [in power] the country would not be able to function.”
However, former retired Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had denied calling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan “dangerous for Pakistan”.
Senior journalist Mansoor Ali Khan in his vlog discussed Gen Bajwa’s denial. Mansoor, quoting the retired army chief, said that he got a call from him [Gen Bajwa] where he told Mansoor that he had not said anything of the kind to Javed Chaudhry.
After the denial with Mansoor Ali Khan, General Bajwa, according to Aftab Iqabl, says now Javed Chaudhry doesn’t pick up his phone.
