LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the details of the tour of South Africa in 2024 for three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Test matches.
Durban, Centurion, and Johannesburg will host the T20 series from December 10 to 14. The ODIs will be played in Paarl, Cape Town, and Johannesburg from December 17 to 22, while the two matches of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 will be played in Centurion (December 26-30) and Cape Town (January 3-7).
The national team will leave for Durban on December 2 after returning from Australia on November 19, having played three ODIs and three T20 matches from November 4 to 18.
After completing their African safari on January 8, the national team will take on New Zealand and South Africa in a tri-nation ODI tournament on home turf, followed by the eight-team ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
Before the Australia and South Africa tours, Pakistan will host Bangladesh and England for two and three Test matches respectively. This means she will play seven Tests, at least 10 ODIs, and six T20Is in a six-month period from August 2024 to January 2025.
This will be Pakistan’s seventh Test tour of South Africa after 1994-95. Pakistan was able to win the series in 1997-98 and 2006-2007.
