The ICC Champions Trophy final will be played between India and New Zealand on Sunday in Dubai، Virat Kohli sustained an injury during net practice at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Academy on Friday, ahead of the final.
According to some reports, Virat Kohli was facing fast bowling in the nets when a fast delivery struck his knee, prompting him to stop practicing immediately. The Indian team’s physio staff quickly examined Kohli, applied spray, and bandaged the affected area.
Despite the injury, Kohli remained on the ground and continued to observe the rest of the training session while informing his teammates and coaching staff about his fitness. Later, the Indian coaching staff clarified that Kohli’s injury is not serious and that he will be fully fit to play in the final.
It is worth mentioning that the talented batter Virat Kohli is often compared to Sachin Tendulkar due to their similar batting styles, and at times, he is even referred to as Tendulkar’s “successor.” Many former cricketers expect Kohli to break Tendulkar’s records, and he has achieved this feat on multiple occasions.
