Usman Dar discusses Kamyab Jawan’s collaboration with UNICEF

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar on Monday received Chief of Education UNICEF Ms Ellen van Kalmthout and discussed future collaboration with the PM Kamyab Jawan Programme.
While talking about various components of PM Kamyab Jawan Programme, Dar said that the core vision behind the programme is to positively engage the youth in Pakistan. He emphasised that PMKJP is an umbrella programme that includes Rs30 billion skills programs, Rs100 billion loan scheme while few more components including Green Youth Movement (GYM) and Start-Up Pakistan are to be launched soon.
Dar stressed that merit-based and transparent mechanism including the use of technology and apolitical approach are adopted to promote talented and hardworking youth. He further said that all components of PMKJP are open for collaboration and cooperation of reputable organizations so that we can benefit from their expertise and also to be open to third party assessment.
Ms Ellen van Kalmthout said that UNICEF will explore future collaboration between Generation Unlimited and PMKJP. She said that GYM is an excellent initiative for protecting the environment and also engaging youth in this important cause.
